Cookie policy
Last updated 7 September 2026 · governed by the laws of JURISDICTION
Every capitalised placeholder below (company name, address, registration number, jurisdiction, retention periods, supervisory authority) must be replaced, and a solicitor in your jurisdiction must review the result. Publishing this as-is is worse than publishing nothing.
Our approach
This site sets only what is needed to work. There are no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no third-party analytics running unless you have accepted them through the consent banner. Declining costs you nothing — every page works the same.
Essential storage
These are set without consent because the site cannot function without them, and they carry no tracking identifier:
- an_cookie_consent (local storage) — remembers your consent choice so we stop asking. Contains a state value and a timestamp. Kept until you clear it or change your choice.
- an_locale (cookie) — remembers your language selection so the edge serves the right cached copy. Session or up to 12 months.
- an_session (cookie, admin only) — keeps an authenticated CMS user signed in. Set only after sign-in to the administrative interface, never on public pages. Expires with the session.
Optional storage
Nothing is in this category today. If we later add privacy-respecting analytics, it will appear here, it will be off until you accept, and the consent banner will ask again rather than inherit an old answer.
Third-party requests
There are none. Every asset on this site — stylesheets, scripts, images and the IBM Plex web fonts — is served from our own domain, so your browser never contacts another company while loading a page. Nothing about your visit is disclosed to a third party by the act of visiting.
We embed no video players, no social widgets, no chat tools, no maps, no advertising tags, no font CDN and no third-party analytics.
IBM Plex Sans and IBM Plex Mono are used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1; the licence text is published alongside the font files.
Changing your mind
Use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of any page to reopen the banner and change your choice. You can also clear site data in your browser, which removes everything listed above; the banner will then ask again on your next visit.
Browser controls
All major browsers let you block or delete cookies and local storage, and honour a Global Privacy Control signal where the site supports it. Blocking essential storage will mean the consent banner reappears on every page load, because the record of your choice is itself the thing being blocked.
Questions
Email privacy@MY_DOMAINNAME if anything here is unclear, or if you believe something is being set that is not on this list — that would be a bug and we want to hear about it.
